Every name holds a story. This is ours.

Long before there was a studio, there was curiosity. As a kid, building brands and shaping spaces were the daydreams I slipped into while making blogs and editing the photos my friends and I shot on our parents' point-and-shoot cameras. Years later, full of ideas and dreaming bigger than my paycheck, I was focused on the work itself, the kind that keeps you up until 2 a.m. and gets you out of bed in the morning. The name came later. The curiosity never left.

While exploring my heritage, I found Nahoa and dove deep into the history of the people who shaped the land I love. The name traces back to the Nahua. Somewhere between languages, the u became an o. Lost in translation, some might say. I'd say found. That one letter made the name mine, and it has inspired countless hours of design work across those five letters ever since.

In Nahuatl, nāhua- describes speech that is clear, audible and understood. The Nahua used it for their own language, spoken well. That meaning became the brief for everything we make: work that people hear, understand and feel.

The O became its own symbol: round, unbroken, whole. It's a nod to the beauty marks that run through the faces of the women in my mother's family, a mark I carry into every piece of work.

For years, Nahoa lived quietly, a passion project known to friends and their moms. It became home to my creative work and the causes I chose to give my time to.

Nahoa wasn't planned. It was found, then lived into, and that's how I approach every project: listen first, then make something original that holds what's true.

Today, Studio Nahoa is part studio, part collective: a creative home for artists, aficionados and curious minds charting their own course. Our work puts depth before polish. It lives in the unglamorous middle: figuring things out and making with intention.

Everyone carries a story. Our work is to make it visible, together.

When ideas are built with care, for ourselves and the world around us, the people who meet them get to feel it too.
